Sida Liu, Professor at the School of Aerospace and Astronautical Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University, doctoral supervisor, and nationally recognized young talent. He is a member of the "National Key Laboratory for Structural Strength and Lifetime of Equipment in Complex Service Environments" at Xi'an Jiaotong University. He has been committed to the design and development of lightweight alloy materials for a long time. Under the guidance of theoretical calculations, he independently developed a nanoscale biphasic Al-Mn catalyst for hydrogen evolution, which can be mass-produced and performs better in both efficiency and cost than commercial platinum-carbon catalysts. Patents have been applied for in China and the USA. The independently designed and refined Al-Ti-B-C (TCB) seed crystal alloy series products are exported to more than a dozen countries, including Germany, Italy, and South Korea, and are utilized by enterprises such as Chinalco, Huawei, and Lumileds in the USA. He leads projects funded by the National Young Talents, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Xi'an Jiaotong University's Young Talent Lift Program. As the first author/corresponding author, he has published papers in journals including Chemical Reviews, Science Advances, Acta Materialia (3 issues), Advanced Science, Composites Part B: Engineering, and Journal of Materials Science & Technology (2 issues), totaling over 50 SCI-indexed papers and holding five authorized national invention patents. He serves as a young editorial board member for journals such as Materials Research Letters, Journal of Materials Science & Technology, and Journal of Chinese Society for Metals. His work has been featured by media and institutions such as CCTV International Channel and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
